By inhibiting PDE-5, the concentration of cGMP is increased, resulting in a relaxation of smooth muscles in cavernous tissue, allowing greater blood flow to the penis and facilitating the obtaining and maintenance of an erection.

2. Treatment of pulmonary hypertension (HP)

Mechanism of action in HP:

By increasing the concentration of cGMP in the smooth muscles of the pulmonary artery, pulmonary blood pressure is reduced, improving the cardiac performance and exercise capacity of patients with pulmonary hypertension.
